Want to learn more about how NOAA innovates science, assessment, and equity-centered adaptation in a changing climate? Tune into the session titled Climate Services for Decision Makers at the U.S. Center as part of the upcoming UN Conference of Parties (COP26) taking place October 31st - November 12th in Glasgow, Scotland. This roundtable discussion will focus on the practical needs of decision makers in providing clean water, protection from weather events, and preparing for the impacts of climate change. The session will take place on November 8th from 3:00-4:00 pm UK (9:00-10:00 am Eastern U.S.), and will showcase resources within the US Climate Resilience Toolkit, data services from Regional Climate Centers, and advances in decision support from the Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments (RISA) program.

NOAA Administrator Rick Spinrad will provide framing and introductory remarks that highlight the way the agency researches, engages, and delivers climate services at multiple scales, across geographies, and to distinct populations, including those who have been underserved. The introduction will be followed by a roundtable discussion with four stakeholders representing different kinds of expertise and communities moderated by Ned Gardiner.
