Content of video is limited to Texas, but as a large energy-producing state, it is informative to learn about efforts to shift to clean energy. No specific data on this shift is referenced; instructor may want to have students verify some of Dr. Hayhoe's assertions.
Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, climate scientist at Texas Tech and evangelical Christian, addresses many efforts underway in Texas to shift energy generation to renewable resources. Comments from expert scientist: Scientific strengths: Katharine outlines the various climate change challenges and potential successes Texans are and can be a part of. Concerns: This resource is not super scientific. I feel that it is more of an advertisement for why Texans should care about climate change. I think it's important, but not sure it meets scientific standards. I think this could be a great supplemental or introductory resource but not sure it's a good standalone resource.
