Notes from our reviewers

The CLEAN collection is hand-picked and rigorously reviewed for scientific accuracy and classroom effectiveness. Read what our review team had to say about this resource below or learn more about how CLEAN reviews teaching materials.

  • While the resource is listed for 6th grade to 12th grade, it may be more appropriate for high school students or could even be implemented in a sustainability or agroecology course at the college level as there are a lot of advanced topics covered. The five activities build on each other but can stand alone as well. Because it was published in 2017, the activity says 2016 is the warmest year on record, which is no longer true - this could be a teaching moment too, illustrating our warming climate through time. The resource is very long and detailed but is also high quality, and the instructor can skim and skip over pieces that are not relevant or that they are already familiar with.
